Obama - The Sarpanch of USA

All the times Obama spoke about a post racial society I thought it was just a politician talking. The Justice Sotomayor episode and his initial comments in the prof. gates episode also confirmed this impression. However this is a really good gesture. I know it is only symbolic and meant to correct past mistakes but still is the thing I would do.
